about...

Bob has been providing top quality entertainment to customers for over 30 years. He has been at the top of the DJ profession since his early days working in and around Belfast and Ballymena. He got his first residency in Ballygally Castle’s Moulin Rouge nightclub in the late 70’s when CT Promotions recognised the talent this young man had for getting people onto the dance floor. After this he moved to join Brian Moore at the Strand Hotel were he worked as one of a team of world class DJ’s .

Tullyglass HotelTullyglass House was his next venue and the highly successful Maxwell’s Plum. This was a ground breaking niteclub never before had such a sound and light system been put into a nightclub and of course the owners picked the man at the top of his game to front this new venue. Over the next 8 years this club was packed to capacity every Saturday night with coach loads arriving from every corner of Northern Ireland. Every week was a new experience with Bob not only spinning the discs but using his showmanship and ability to get people to take part in extraordinary games to ensure every one left looking forward to the following Saturday at Maxwell’s Plum.

Europa HotelLooking for a new challenge he moved to Paradise Lost at the Belfast Europa in 1992. Another new venue which needed a top flight DJ to establish the club in the very competitive Belfast market. Bob filled the club to capacity and it went on to win several prestigious awards while he was resident. He returned to Ballymena to open the revamped Tullymore Nightclub in Broughshane and again he proved his worth establishing the club and packing it to capacity within a few weeks.

All during this period he also ran his successful Roadshow and has catered for weddings, birthday’s, engagement parties and every conceivable celebration you can imagine. He is the DJ the DJ’s book to do their parties!

Bob has also considerable radio experience and has worked on Ballymena’s 7FM for the past year, presenting a lively mix of music and chat to listeners on Saturdays and Sundays. He has also worked for Atlantic 252 as Road Manager taking their very successful club promotions team to venues around Ireland. Bob was responsible for the planning and delivery of the these live wire, high energy shows.

The event took place in the Kings Hall Belfast with a host of stars from all over the UK appearing and over 7,000 attended the night.

He is the only DJ in Northern Ireland to be a fully paid up member of Equity, the Union for Professional Entertainers.

With this experience is it any wonder the top Hotels in the North East all recommend his Disco to take care of your party. When you book a party with Bob Esler Discos you can be sure of the quality of DJ who will do your party because it will be the man himself.

So often we hear of bookings which are handed out to mates or associates who do not have the experience or personality to cater for your needs.
